Privacy at Samuel Lee Mentorship

Effective September 7, 2026

This policy describes how Samuel Lee’s mentorship and tutoring portal at leesamuel423.com uses information to provide your workspace.

Google account information

When you continue with Google, Clerk handles authentication and receives your Google account identifier, name, email address, and profile picture. The portal uses this information to recognize your account, display your profile, and connect you to the workspace Samuel activates for you. This sign-in connection requests basic identity information; it does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, or Google Calendar.

Course sign-in emails

Samuel can separately connect a Gmail inbox to provide course sign-in codes and links through the Resources page. This optional connection requests read-only Gmail access. Google grants access to the connected mailbox; the application filters its reads to configured course senders, recipient addresses, and the current sign-in request's time window. Students do not connect their own inboxes or receive mailbox access.

A matching code or link is shown only to the active portal account that requested it. The application encrypts the mailbox authorization token and temporary sign-in credentials in its database. Requests expire after five minutes; expired credentials are cleared during subsequent resource activity. Request and message identifiers are retained to prevent reuse. Email bodies are not stored, and this feature does not send Gmail data to OpenAI. Samuel can disconnect the inbox in resource settings and remove Google's authorization through Google account settings.

Your portal records

The portal stores your profile and preferences, goals, assignments, progress updates, journal entries, and reflections you choose to submit. Samuel can also record private mentor notes and create progress reviews. Samuel can access records for the students he mentors; students can access their own enabled workspace. Private mentor notes and AI reviews are available to Samuel.

Services that process information

Railway hosts the application and its Postgres database. Clerk processes account and session information for sign-in. When Samuel requests an AI review, selected student goals and portal records, including relevant mentor notes, are sent to OpenAI to generate that review. Information written into those records is included in the request. Generated reviews are saved in the portal.

These providers process information under their respective service and privacy terms: Railway, Clerk, and OpenAI.

Cookies and site visits

Authentication uses cookies and similar browser storage to maintain your session and protect sign-in. The public portfolio pages also use Google Analytics to measure visits. Hosting and authentication providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, and service logs.

Retention and requests

Portal records remain stored until removed. Deactivating workspace access does not automatically erase its history. Contact Samuel to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. You can also remove the Google connection through your Google account settings; doing so does not automatically delete existing portal records.
